Overview
Manga Inventory ("the App") is a personal manga collection tracking application. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what data the App collects and how it is used.
Data Storage
All data you enter into the App is stored locally on your device only. This includes:
- Manga titles, authors, and publishers
- Volume tracking and purchase information
- Reading progress and ratings
- Cover images you select from your device
- Tags and notes
- App preferences (dark mode, currency, language, Pro status)
Data We Do NOT Collect
The App does not:
- Send your personal data or collection data to any external server (only search queries and manga identifiers are sent to AniList and MangaBaka as described above)
- Collect personal information (name, email, location)
- Use analytics or tracking services
- Require an account or login
Internet Access
The App requires internet access for the following purposes:
- AniList API — The App connects to the AniList API to search for manga information (titles, authors, volumes, genres, cover images) for the "Magic Fill" and "Top Manga" features. Only your search queries are sent to AniList. No personal data or collection data is transmitted. AniList's use is subject to their Terms of Service.
- MangaBaka API — The App connects to the MangaBaka API to retrieve manga volume information, volume cover images, and edition data. Only search queries and manga identifiers are sent. No personal data or collection data is transmitted. Your IP address may be logged by MangaBaka for rate limiting purposes. MangaBaka's use is subject to their Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
- Jikan API (MyAnimeList) — The App connects to the Jikan API, an unofficial MyAnimeList API, to provide manga recommendations based on community voting data. Only manga identifiers are sent. No personal data or collection data is transmitted.
- Google Play Billing — For processing the optional in-app purchase ("Pro Unlock"). Handled entirely by Google Play.
- Google Play In-App Review — The App may prompt you to rate the app using Google's native review dialog. No data is collected by the App from this interaction.
In-App Purchases
The App offers an optional one-time purchase ("Pro Unlock") through Google Play. Purchase transactions are handled entirely by Google Play and are subject to Google's Privacy Policy. We do not have access to your payment information.
Data Export & Backup
You can export your data as JSON or CSV files using the built-in export feature. These files are saved to a location you choose on your device. You are responsible for the security of exported files.
Deleting Your Data
You can delete your data at any time by:
- Deleting individual manga entries within the App
- Clearing the App's data in your device's Settings
- Uninstalling the App (all data will be permanently removed)
Children's Privacy
The App does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. Since no personal data is collected from any user, the App is safe for all ages.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
